Operations Director Ben Janssen talks about this particular area of our work.
Adapted to specific needs
Ben: “The vehicles are very different. Some are fully equipped ambulances; others are transport vehicles with a stretcher. Sometimes they are pick-ups or vans that can be used to transport people. Everything is tailored to the specific needs of the customer and the situation in which the vehicle will be used, such as in Africa.”
Successful cooperation
“Our relationship with some organisations goes back more than twenty years”, says Ben. “Other charities have found us through word of mouth. They often see our vehicles in action in crisis areas, and that builds trust. New orders usually follow on from previous successful collaborations.”
Responding quickly when needed
Ben: “Thanks to our good relationships with suppliers and our stock of vehicles, we can respond quickly to urgent situations, such as a crisis in Syria or Ukraine. We know exactly where vehicles are available and how to get them converted and delivered quickly.”
Commercial and organisational
“I work on both the commercial and organisational side”, Ben explains. “That means I’m involved in liaising with customers, identifying their specific requirements and coordinating logistics. Internally, we work closely together to make sure everything runs smoothly, and externally, we sit down with the customer to come up with the best solution.”
Driving force
Ben: “Although we are a commercial company, we feel a strong commitment to Africa, where many of our customers operate. It's a way of giving back. We make our money in this sector, but we also really want to contribute to the communities that our customers support.”
Contributing to relief efforts
“We will continue to focus on providing bespoke vehicles that meet the highest standards. We also want to continue to contribute to relief efforts in crisis areas. Our strength is flexibility and building long-term relationships with aid organisations. We will continue to do so!”
