Ruud: “For example, when customers have specific requirements for additional features or modifications to vehicles.”
Technical feasibility
“In those cases, I carefully assess the technical possibilities, required materials, lead times and costs,” he explains. “That’s how I maintain the balance between quality, functionality and affordability. And everything is done in close collaboration with the team. I’m very much a link in making solutions technically feasible.”
A wealth of experience
Ruud brings extensive experience to the role. “I previously ran my own automotive business and have a broad technical background. I also have a strong affinity with off-road vehicles and specialised applications, which fits perfectly with the market Intermotive operates in.”
Great team spirit
Being from the local area, Ruud had already been involved in projects since last summer. “That made the transition very smooth. I really appreciate the company culture and the way we work together as a team. It was a difficult decision, but I’m very happy with my move to Intermotive.”
Technological innovation
Looking ahead, he is optimistic about the future: “The market is evolving rapidly and technological innovations are moving fast. That creates new opportunities, both for Intermotive and for my own role. I’m really looking forward to making the workshop run as efficiently as possible.”
Strong trust
An added benefit is that he brought two technicians with him when he joined. Ruud: “An experienced mechanic and an apprentice. Both are people I have great confidence in. That also made the transition easier and strengthens the workshop team.”
Family man
Outside of work, Ruud is a busy family man. He is 45 years old, married and has three children. “We live on a small hobby farm, and in my spare time I’m passionate about off-road vehicles. There’s always something to work on, and sometimes I take the kids with me to the off-road races I compete in.”
“I feel completely at home here at Intermotive.”
