Jeroen: “When I started, little was automated. My initial task was to modernise the department.”
More efficient processes
“We implemented an ERP system”, he continues. “That enables more efficient processes, but also provides more overview and better communication.” What particularly attracted him was the combination of an international working environment and the informal culture within the company. “The international aspect suits me well: I have always been curious about other countries and cultures.”
Interesting and challenging
Jeroen: “The vast majority of our customers are in Africa. That makes the work interesting, but also challenging. In addition, Intermotive felt like a place where I could put my experience and skills to good use. The informal and accessible atmosphere within the company also makes the work extra enjoyable.”

“Intermotive is service orientated and has a strong focus on customer satisfaction”, explains Jeroen. “Our strength is reliability, communication and speed. When we make a quote, customers can rely on us to keep our promises. Even if something goes wrong, we communicate proactively so that customers are never faced with surprises.”
Personal contact is essential
Jeroen: “Personal contact is also essential for us. Whether it’s a phone call, an online meeting or a physical visit: we make sure our customers feel heard and valued. We also speak several languages. This helps us to serve customers around the world in the best possible way.”
Strengthening relationships
“My ideal working week consists of managing the team and maintaining customer relationships. But my role is multifaceted: from re-calling quotes to planning customer visits and solving operational challenges. The Corona pandemic has enabled us to communicate better with customers online, which has greatly strengthened our relationships.”
Continue to improve
Jeroen: “My ambition is to contribute to the growth of the company and to ensure that customers continue to see us as their preferred supplier. We want to be good at what we do, but we also want to improve. For me personally, it is important that our added value - reliability, quality and customer focus - remains central.”
Zeeland coast
Jeroen lives in Breda with his partner and their two children. “In my spare time I like to be active: I cycle, play football and go walking a lot. We also often enjoy our apartment on the coast of Zeeland”. Jeroen concludes: “The informal company culture and the loyalty within the team make Intermotive a good employer.
